Tower Bell

In the tower of St. Nicholas Church, there are two still active and historic bells. One of them was cast in 1704 by the Gdańsk bell founder Beniamin Wittwerck. The neck is adorned with a floral garland decoration, above which the inscription reads: “B.(?)W. ME FECIT ANNO 1704” [B.(?)W. made me in the year 1704]. Below is the inscription: “MORTIS ANGORES” [Agonies of Death].
