Roman style chasuble (fiddleback) made of Jacquard fabric with a large-repeat stylized pomegranate pattern in cream on a red ground; motifs are surrounded by quotes from the Canticle Benedicte. Triangular neck opening; edges trimmed with golden galloon. Lining of light red cotton satin. The front features a column of applied wide Jacquard tape with a motif of colorful Neo-Gothic rosettes, edged with galloon. The back features an applied cross-shaped column of Jacquard fabric with an analogous motif of Neo-Gothic rosettes, with a large rosette at the intersection of the cross arms; the column is edged with golden galloon.
