Mass Cruet Set: Tray and 2 Cruets

Oval tray, gadrooned; the well features the donor’s coat of arms with the inscription above: IOANNES CASPAR HAVSER, surrounded by bunches of fruit. The depressions for the cruets are surrounded by leaf wreaths. Two cruets on circular bases, with gadrooned bodies and auricular handles. The lids bear letters distinguishing the vessels’ purpose: V (vino – wine) and A (aqua – water).

Marks: City mark: letter ‘W’ in a heart (Wrocław/Breslau); Maker’s mark: letters ‘CM’ in an oval (Christian Mentzel the Elder, active 1668–1699); Prussian tax mark (contribution mark) from 1809–1812.
