Crozier of Bishop Georg Kopp

Crook with a three-dimensional figure of St. George on horseback, defeating the dragon. Side walls decorated on both sides with colored enamel with a rhomboid pattern.

Stem with a nodus in the shape of a flattened sphere decorated with six gem-set bosses. Above, a three-dimensional representation of a Gothic chapel, in whose arcades topped with tracery gables are figures of holy bishops: Boniface, Rabanus, Sturmius, and Simplitius, and between them smaller figures of monks and coats of arms of the crosier’s founders. Long handle with a round cross-section. The crosier was a gift from the clergy of Fulda (Hesse) to Bishop Cardinal Georg Kopp.
