The base is six-lobed, decorated with rollwerk ornament featuring lily motifs. In its fields are medallions with winged angel heads, one of which has an oval shield with the coat of arms of Bishop Andreas von Jerin (1585-1596) and the letters: AE W. The shaft is hexagonal with a small plate. The node is shaped like a flattened sphere with gemstones in rhomboidal settings around it. Below it is the inscription “IESVS,” and above it “MARIA.”
The smooth bowl is set in a basket decorated with rollwerk ornament and winged angel heads, topped with a lace pattern with lily motifs.
The chalice was created from the endowment of Bishop Andreas von Jerin.
