Reliquary Bust of St. Helena

The bust of the saint, with hair falling on her shoulders, dressed in a gown covered with an ermine cloak and wearing a circlet crown on her head. The saint looks at the cross held in her hands, in the glazed upper part of which, against a red fabric background, are the relics of the True Cross. The bust is set on a low rectangular base with winged angel heads at the corners. The reliquary was made for the collegiate church of the Holy Cross in Wrocław.

The work of the goldsmith Matthäus Sbarasky from Lviv is considered by researchers to be one of the finest examples of Baroque goldsmith sculpture in Silesia.
